- ➤ Robinson Inc. announced a $76 million investment to open a 560,000 sqft manufacturing plant just outside Altoona near Des Moines, set to begin operations in January 2027; the new facility will create about 100 jobs, including roles in skilled labor + welding. The Des Moines Register
