- ➤ The Des Moines City Council approved an urban renewal plan for the Riverview Park area that will replace blighted properties with new shops, offices and homes over 59 acres. The plan includes a $7 million row house project of 36 townhomes replacing an old warehouse—city officials said the project will boost local growth. KCCI
