- ➤ At the Iowa State Fair on Aug. 16, Dairy Zone owners Carolyn Ferrall and Kim Gilmore served their Butter Cow Tornado ice cream treat topped with a chocolate cow that looked like butter. - ➤ Last fall, the Johnson family signed a contract with Davis Custom Homes to build their home, but delays and unpaid workers led the company to file for bankruptcy and left the home incomplete, prompting legal action; a pancake breakfast fundraiser called 'From Cracks to Comebacks' will be held Friday, August 22nd at KPC Studio 360 in Waukee—supporting 33 other affected families.
