- ➤ The new Ellipsis foster care campus called the Barbara Lee Noble Campus opened on July 29th in Des Moines to offer 10 group care beds and eight supervised apartments for girls ages 16–18—officials from the David J. - ➤ Des Moines Public Works is helping neighborhoods north and west of the fairgrounds after storm damage on July 30 by offering free curbside debris pick-up today and a drop-off option on Aug 2. - ➤ In West Des Moines, the city and its water utility signed an agreement with Microsoft that requires future AI data centers to use zero-water cooling systems so water remains sufficient for 26,000 accounts. - ➤ Attorney Brian Jorde, who represents landowners fighting the Summit pipeline, was publicly reprimanded by the Iowa Supreme Court for filing a falsified affidavit in Iowa and South Dakota without permission.
