Renovations costing $19.6 million have begun at the historic Iowa State Fair Swine Barn right after last summer’s fair; phase one remodels key features to finish by Aug.
13, with full improvements expected by 2028. Jeff and Deb Hansen contributed $2 million and will add an educational swine exhibit.

Cyclists in bacon costumes rode the 12th Bacoon Ride on Saturday, June 20 in Adel — with stops for bacon food and Star Wars fun.
