The Capital City Pride event on Friday, June 12 in Des Moines brought community members together with live performances and family-friendly art (including temporary face tattoos and bead throwing) that celebrated diversity and inclusion.

The Iowa GOP held its state convention in Clive on Saturday, June 13, with candidates Zach Lahn and Derek Wulf receiving strong support from delegates.

Lahn, fresh from winning the primary, delivered his first address while Wulf was confirmed as his running mate.
