- ➤ Construction on the new Reichardt Community Recreation Center on Des Moines' north side is progressing well after ground broke last October; community feedback has shaped the 36,000-square-foot project originally planned as a $22 million vision and now including a gym, workout area, kitchen, indoor pool and indoor walking track.
