GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Iowa Board of Pharmacy sanctioned 10 Walgreens stores for failing to maintain proper records and controlled substance accountability. Eight stores (including three in Des Moines) are on five-year probation with required audits and unannounced inspections, while two stores in Sioux City and Waterloo must upgrade their electronic systems within six months. - ➤ Ann Breeding, founder of Steps of Hope and mother who lost her son in 2020, is working to prevent overdose deaths after nine occurred in April. Next week, her organization will host its annual Steps of Hope Walk to provide free Narcan to families in the community. KCCI
