- ➤ Perry's Olivia Christensen and Woodward-Granger's Alexis Bogardus were recognized at the Governor's Scholar Recognition Ceremony on April 27 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, where Gov. Kim Reynolds and Lt. Gov. Chris Cournoyer honored 424 Iowa seniors for outstanding academic achievement plus each school selected its top student from the first seven semesters. The statewide program, sponsored by the Iowa Governor’s Office, the Iowa High School Athletic Association and the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, celebrated these students as future leaders.
