Good morning, Des Moines.

515 Run Club, a free community run that meets weekly at Gray’s Lake for 2-mile runs, is set to face thousands of dollars in user fees to the city because of its structure.

Co-founders Anthony Arroyo and Nico Robinson organized the club that has become a popular local event.

Roosevelt High School's Bridges 2 Harmony, Iowa’s oldest high school gospel choir, is led by Alexander Gray — a 2022 Simpson College graduate in his fourth year — who guides 31 students in daily rehearsals and community performances.

Central Iowa officials warn that lawn watering restrictions will likely return this summer due to high nitrate levels in the region.

515 Run Club has challenged Des Moines Parks and Recreation for charging a $4,300 fee for using Gray's Lake.

The group says a police threat is part of the enforcement and questions the fairness of the park code.
