GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Drivers using Interstate 80 and 35 and US 6 Hickman Road will face ramp closures starting April 21 as part of an interchange project, with detours in effect until mid-August. The Iowa Department of Transportation said drivers will use a detour via Douglas Avenue + Douglas Parkway + Northwest 128th Street + University Avenue. The Des Moines Register

- ➤ Catholic Health Initiatives-Iowa dropped its legal argument that an unborn child is not a 'patient' for damage calculations—its stance conflicted with its mission of protecting life from conception.
