GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The city plans to redesign the 90-year-old Fleur Drive bridge as a pedestrian and bike-friendly crossing by reducing four lanes to two plus expanding sidewalks. A design phase has been approved and construction is expected to begin in 2029 at an estimated cost between $8 million and $14 million. KCCI
- ➤ Yesterday, the Greater Des Moines Partnership unveiled its 2026 Federal Policy Agenda to boost regional growth, workforce training and infrastructure improvements — the agenda will be promoted at a Washington, D.C. fly-in trip on June 3-5. Downtown Des Moines
