- ➤ The Iowa DNR reported that data from its 2025 MOON surveys showed declines in Eastern whip-poor-wills and Chuck-will’s-widows from long-term routes; researchers hope additional survey routes (one in each conservation area) will help guide habitat management. The Des Moines Register

- ➤ Most interstates remain closed after a blizzard hit Iowa on March 15. In Des Moines, I-235, I-80, and Highway 5 are partly covered while snowplows work & over 30 counties have tow bans in place. The Des Moines Register
