- ➤ Two large wind turbines were brought down in a cornfield near Nevada at 4 p.m. Wednesday when crews kept bystanders at a safe distance—drone footage shows smoke as the towers fell—. It is not clear why Goodwind Energy chose to demolish the turbines. The Des Moines Register
