- ➤ Iowa DOT crews shifted southbound traffic at Hickman Road on March 5 as they replaced a bridge and began pavement work for a new diverging diamond interchange. They will close southbound/westbound I-80/35 nightly from March 8 to March 13 (bad weather could delay work), prompting motorists to follow detour routes. The Des Moines Register
- ➤ Maj. Jeffrey O’Brien of the Des Moines-based 103rd Sustainment Command died on Sunday when an Iranian drone struck a command center in Kuwait, killing six soldiers including Des Moines’ Sgt. Declan Coady while nine others were injured and are being evaluated in Germany. Iowa Public Radio
