On Feb. 10, Ryan Siskow recalled his 9/11 experience during the Tell It Like It Is: Iowa Storytellers Project, sharing how family anchors helped him find strength after the tragedy (the project is funded by Hoyt Sherman Place Foundation in partnership with the Des Moines Register). A new storytellers event, Search and Rescue, is set for June 2 at Hoyt Sherman Place.

Iowa DOT will close northbound lanes of I-80/35 near the southwest mixmaster at 10 p.m. tonight until 4 a.m. Monday and southbound lanes on Wednesday night until 4 a.m. Thursday; drivers can follow detour routes (via I-235 and local roads) to avoid delays.
