- ➤ Des Moines remembers longtime educator Udell Cason Jr., who dedicated nearly 40 years to DMPS and passed away Jan. 24 at age 85. A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 7 at Union Baptist Church on McCormick St for community members to honor his lasting legacy. The Des Moines Register
- ➤ West Des Moines high school named Rob Randazzo as the next principal at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School, pending board approval. He will begin on July 1 and comes from his role as associate principal at Hoover High School (part of Des Moines Public Schools). KCCI
